It has been another sad day for us in the music world and for the world in general. Two weeks ago we lost Merle Haggard, the greatest country songwriter of the last 50 years and today we lost Prince. I can't say I was a rabid fan of his, I was just into a different kind of music but I am certainly aware of his impact on modern music. From his film "Purple Rain" to his Super Bowl performance and other tv appearances. Reinventing himself, creating timeless music at every turn of the page. But for me, his guitar playing on stage with Dani Harrison, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynn and Steve Winwood doing the George Harrison classic "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is a legendary performance. Those are not light weights he's up there with but he smokes everyone of them with his guitar playing and steals the show. Rest in Peace, you were truly one of a kind and we know the Heavenly Band just got a kick in the butt with you showing up.
